An active adventure to discover Canada?s finest landscapes: high mountains, raging rivers, mirror-like lakes & forested coastline
HIGHLIGHTS:
Overnight wilderness canoeingHiking in Jasper & Banff NPsVancouver & optional raftingThe Canadian Rockies are all about the great outdoors; stunning mountain scenery, crystal clear lakes and raging rivers ? not to mention glaciers and snow-capped peaks. You?ll get straight out into the world-renowned Banff and Jasper National Parks for some of the best hiking around including Lake Louise. Getting into the woods on foot is by far the best way to explore the area and there is a good chance of spotting some wildlife such as elk and moose, perhaps even a glimpse of a grizzly bear. To really get into the wilderness you?ll then embark on an overnight canoeing expedition ? leave civilisation behind and live that true pioneer experience!
Whistler is a great mountain base from which to try a number of different activities. Hit the rapids for some adrenalin-fuelled white water rafting, head for the hills on a mountain bike or saddle up and sample the scenic trails on horseback, frontier style. The trip ends in the fascinating and cosmopolitan city of Vancouver ? an amazing contrast to the wilds of western Canada.
