Day 1DelhiAn overnight train journey takes you to the Himalayan foothills in India's north.
Days 2-3Dharamsala'Little Lhasa' is a stunning scene of spinning prayer wheels, fluttering prayer flags, spectacular mountain views and cultivated hill scapes. The resulting ambience promotes the message of peace and harmony.
Days 4-5AmritsarEnjoy an evening visit to the Golden Temple, the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. Watch the exaggerated pomp and ceremony of the changing of the guards and the lowering of the flags ritual at the Wagah check point on the India-Pakistan border.
Days 6-7Shimla Stretched along a crescent-shaped ridge at an altitude of over 2100m, Shimla was the summer capital during the British Colonial period in India.
Days 8-9Shimla to DelhiDelight in the scenery as you descend from Shimla aboard the narrow gauge 'toy train'. You have the final day in Delhi for shopping, sightseeing or relaxing before a transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
