There is an opportunity to learn more about these and other nomadic communities on a village tour. Within the Samburu National Reserve, look out for endangered Grevy's zebras and crocs submerged in the muddy waters of the Ewaso Nyiro River that meanders through the otherwise-parched landscape. | | Day 4 | Lake Nakuru | Witness one of the world's greatest spectacles: thousands of pink flamingos and other water birds feeding in the shallow waters of Lake Nakuru. An afternoon game drive provides a look at the park's four-legged attractions, including white-stockinged Rothschild's giraffes. | | Day 5 | Lake Naivasha | Spend the morning watching hippos and buffaloes wallow in lakeside swamps and listen out for the chatter of black and white colobus monkeys in the treetops.
