    Day 1Depart North AmericaBoard your overnight flight to Beijing.
    Day 2BeijingArrive in Beijing and meet your Trafalgar Tour Director at theairport before transferring to your deluxe hotel. The rest of the day is yours to spend at your leisure. 
    Day 3BeijingBeijing is home to many sights that make China a must-see destination. Your guided tour takes you to the Forbidden City, a 250-acre complex of palaces, pavilions, courtyards and gardens, and then on to historic Tiananmen Square. Next, you'll admire the Summer Palace, one of China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens.     Day 4BeijingAn unforgettable part of your adventure is the two-day train ride from Beijing to Irkutsk, Siberia, which follows the route of the legendary Trans-Mongolian and Trans-Siberian railroads. You will go through the Great Wall twice before reaching the Mongolian border and entering the Gobi Desert. Look for tents of nomadic Mongolians. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    Day 5Trans Mongolian/Siberian ExpressAfter a brief stop in Ulaanbaatar, continue your train journey north through ever-changing scenery. The rolling steppes of Mongolia disappear as you enter an almost alpine world along the Selenga River that runs through Ulan Ude, the capital of Buryatia. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    Day 6IrkutskThe train winds along the dramatic shores of Lake Baikal before arriving in Irkutsk in the early afternoon. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    Day 7IrkutskIrkutsk is the capital of Eastern Siberia and the region's most romantic city. Visit the Fine Arts Museum, which houses a rich collection of art. Tour the House Museum of the Decembrists in the former home of Prince Sergei Trubetskoy. And enjoy a champagne classical concert in the Palace of Prince Volkonsky, a Russian aristocrat exiled to Siberia for his disobedience to the czar. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    Day 8Lake BaikalExplore the Buryat Ethnic Museum in Ost-Orda and watch a Buryat folklore show performed by a famous local folk group. After lunch, visit Listvanka, a village located at the lake's only outlet, the Angara River.     Day 9Lake BaikalLake Baikal is the world's deepest lake and a natural wonder. Learn more about the lake at the Baikal Ecology Museum. Enjoy lunch at the waterfront restaurant. Visit a functioning Russian Orthodox church, St. Nicolas-the Miracle-Worker, and the open-air museum of Siberian wooden architecture.     Day 10UlaanbaatarStart the day with a walking tour of Listvanka village where you have chance to buy some hand made souvenirs. A boat ride tour brings you to see the Old Round Baikal Railway. Take an evening flight to Ulaanbaatar. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    Day 11UlaanbaatarRemote and rarely visited, Mongolia is one of the most exotic countries in the world. Only two million people live in an area the size of Western Europe. Half the population still follows the nomadic way of life. Located on a high plateau, Ulaanbaatar is home to the country's most extensive cultural, historical and archeological collections. Today, visit Turtle Rock in Gorkhi Terelj National Park, after a Horhog-Mongolian style BBQ in a camp, and then visit Ger museum of Terelj Lodge. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) 
    Day 12Gobi DesertOne-third the size of Alaska, the legendary Gobi Desert holds many thrilling surprises. Visit Eagle Valley National Park and travel through gorgeous mountain scenery. See stunning Gobi Glacier and intriguing wildlife. With more than 300 types of flora and fauna, the Gobi is the last habitat for many endangered species, including the two-humped Bactrian camel and the snow leopard. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
    Day 13Gobi DesertThe Gobi Desert is not only a kaleidoscope of nature, but also a treasure chest of paleontological discoveries such as fossilized dinosaur bones and eggs. In Bayan Zag, explore the Cemetery of Dinosaurs, where the world's best preserved skeletons of giant dinosaurs and petrified eggs were excavated.     Day 14UlaanbaatarFly back to Ulanbaatar. After lunch, tour Bogdo Khaan Winter Place Museum, home of the last Mongolian Khan, or "King" who ruled until 1924.     Day 16BeijingA walk along this Great Wall is truly memorable. The original construction of the Great Wall started in the 7th century B.C. to keep out the warring invaders. Additional sections were extended eastward for nearly 4,000 miles until the 16th century A.D. You'll also visit the Ming Tombs, home to the lavish burial chambers of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
