Afterward stroll to nearby Pier 39, San Francisco's lively marketplace where fun-filled activities and street performers are sure to be found.Get up close and personal with the pier's local sea lion population, known as the "Sea Lebrities."

Anticipation mounts as you cross into Oregon and step aboard a high-speed jet boat for a thrilling ride on the Rogue River. This Congress-designated "National Wild and Scenic River" roams and roars fromhigh in the Cascade Range to the shores of the Pacific, and is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Keep an eye out for black bear, river otter, black-tail deer, bald eagles, great blue heron and Canada geese which are all commonly seen along the river! (Full Breakfast)

There is time to explore this working 19th century lighthouse that casts its beamsome 21miles out to sea before continuing north to the bayside town of Newport. This evening join the gang round a beach bonfire for gooey s'mores and entertaining campfire tales. (Full Breakfast)
Hotel: Hallmark Inn | | Day 5 | Newport - McMinnville - Portland (2 nights) | Newport - McMinnville - Portland (2 nights) : Journey out to the tide pools of Quarry Cove in search of kelp crabs, sea urchins, anemones, sea stars and the occasional octopus that are common along the Newport coast. Then let your imagination soar at the Evergreen Aviation & Aerospace Museum. Be amazed by Howard Hughes's Spruce Goose, a replica of the Wright 1903 Flyer and a Russian space capsule. Don't miss the hands-on attractions, including the launch room of a Titan II missile and exciting jet simulators. Travel on to Portland and learn about this interesting city on an orientation tour including a stop at the International Rose Test Garden where the landscape bursts with color. This evening enjoy a pizza party in one of Portland's most historic buildings, but guard your pizza closely - the ghosts of this reputedly haunted building may want to steal your slice! Driving along the Historic Columbia River Highway, stop at Crown Point for a bird's-eye view over the gorge and at the breathtaking Multnomah Falls, the nation's second tallest waterfalls. Your next stop is at the Bonneville Lock & Dam, a National Historic Landmark. Here, a Park Ranger leads a discussion on the Lewis and Clark Expedition and on the history of the dam and its impact on the indigenous marine life. View salmon making their way up the fish ladders from above and underwater, and meet Herman, an 11-foot-long, 70-year-old, 500-pound white sturgeon. Then head on back to Portland where the rest of the day is at leisure. (Full Breakfast) | | Day 7 | Portland - Olympic National Park | Portland - Olympic National Park : Visit the award-winningMount St.Helens Visitors Center,dedicated to this active Pacific Ring of Fire volcano. Learn about the volcanic blast of May 18, 1980, an eruption so colossal that it spewed ash into 11 states! Watch a reenactment of the dramatic event and gain an appreciation for this massive volcano with interactive exhibits such as a step-in volcano model and working seismograph. After being "blown away" by Mount St. Helens, venture west and arrive at the rugged coast of Olympic National Park. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Reserve, this park contains no less than three distinct ecosystems. Enter the beautiful Hoh Rainforest,one of the world's few (as well as the largest) temperate rainforests,and trek to the eerie "Hall ofMosses"with trees and branches dripping with moss. Enjoy your hotel's stunning location along the rugged coast with stunning sunset views. This evening, your Tour Director reveals a Hidden Treasure. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

As locals say, "If the winds don't knock you over, the views sure will."Weather permitting,make the climb (thankfully, in a motorized vehicle) up the snaking, 17-mile road to the ridge. After taking in the dizzying views from the ridge, drift back to reality and sea level as you cross the Puget Sound by ferry to Seattle. Here, stop at historic Pike Place Market, the nation's oldest farmers market,where fish fly low - from one fishmonger's hands to the next! And no visit to Seattle would be complete without making the trip to the top of the Space Needle, the iconic landmark of the great Pacific Northwest! This evening kick up your heels at a festive Farewell Dinner party with the rest of gang and toast to your northwest adventures and newfound friends. (Full Breakfast)
